This implies that India needs another 2.8 million beds to match the global average of 3 beds per 1000 population from the present 0.7 beds. The industry expects a significant contribution from the tier-II and tier-III Indian cities. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) believes in this untapped potential of the healthcare industry and wishes to do its part.
